Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad in the Mechanical Engineering stream. Before IIT Palakkad, I worked as an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Technology Warangal and a post-doctoral researcher in Prof. Jan C Aurich's group at the Technical University Kaiserslautern, Germany. I did my Ph.D. under Prof. P. V. Rao and Prof. Sudarsan Ghosh's supervision at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
My broad areas of research interest are grinding and micro grinding. Passionate to explore the mechanics, physics, and mathematics of the abrasive machining processes. I am also working on the kinematic simulations.
PhD openings: I am looking for a disciplined PhD student in Mechanical Engineering with profound knowledge in any of the following areas: grinding, machining, micromachining. Candidate must prove adequate skills in both research and simulation/programming skills (MATLAB preferred). Work will involve fundamental research as well as analytical modeling/simulation with supported experimentation. The candidate must be able to work within a team environment and be self-motivated to think, plan, and execute logically.
MS(R) openings: I am looking for an MS(R). student in Mechanical Engineering with enthusiasm to work in any of the following areas: electroplating, electropolishing. The candidate needs to have a hands-on work interest to develop the test setups for their work. The candidate must be able to work within a team environment and should be self-motivated.
